100% Shiraz Alcohol: 13.9% Closure: Cork Only 102 cases produced Sourced from a dry-grown Greenock block planted in the 1960s and farmed by fourth-generation grower David Materne, this is a vineyard we’ve quietly admired for years. When the opportunity to work with this fruit arose in 2019, we jumped at it, and year after year, it continues to surprise us. Affectionately known as The Old Bamboo, this site consistently delivers fruit of remarkable depth, balance, and vibrancy. The 2023 vintage shows refined structure, amplified by oak-driven depth and beautifully preserved finesse. Wild yeast fermented, basket pressed, and matured in tight-grain French oak, the wine reveals layers of black plum, dark cocoa, ironstone, and warm spice. Silken tannins and restrained power frame the wine’s generous fruit core. A confident, cellarworthy Shiraz that speaks of site, grower, and time.
